We at Artificient Mobility Intelligence GmbH (“Artificient,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) have created this Privacy Policy to describe our practices globally regarding information we collect through the GIZO Mobile Application (the “App”). 

 

  1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE PROCESS

By using our App, you are required to provide us with information, some of which may identify you (“Personal Data”). The Personal Data we process includes the following personal information:

  • First Name,
  • Last Name,
  • E-mail address,
  • Phone number,
  • Vehicle model,
  • Motorized vehicle trips.

We may ask you to optionally provide photograph, demographic or other information such as your gender, age or birthdate.

We do not collect any sensitive data concerning users such as racial or ethnic origins, political, philosophical or religious opinions.

In order to identify motorized trips, the App utilizes your activity data. For the automatic logging of trip information, the App accesses background location, even when the application is not in use or closed. The App processes the velocity and heading from location data to compute driving indicators. It’s important to note that we do not collect location data for non-motorized activities.

In order to analyze driving behaviors and estimate carbon emissions, the following trip data will be recorded:

  • Time
  • Date
  • Location
  • Speed
  • Accelerations
  • Device status: screen-on, on-call, foreground mobile application category
  • Videoes

Importantly, we do not collect or analyze any audio data.

 

  1. LEGAL COMPLIANCE

We may be required – by law, court proceedings, litigation and/or a request from public or governmental authorities in or outside your country of residence – to disclose your Personal Data. We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so for national security, public order or other matters of public interest, where such disclosure is necessary and appropriate. If legislation permits, we will notify you in advance of the transfer of your data.

We may also disclose personal information if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights and remedies, to enforce our terms and conditions, to investigate a case of fraud or to protect our operations or users.

 

  1. DATA STORAGE

The trip data is retained for a duration of two weeks or until the completion of the intended purpose, in accordance with the terms outlined in the program.

 

  1. DATA SECURITY

To ensure data protection and maintain a high level of security, the collected data undergo anonymization and encryption processes. Under no circumstances is any data shared with third parties.

 

  1. DATA RECTIFICATION

If you suspect inaccuracies in the collected data or the road performance rating, you retain the right to request an inspection and rectification within two weeks following the processing of trip data.

 

  1. DATA ERASURE

You possess the right to request the early deletion of your trip data if it is no longer required for additional processing and analysis. Additionally, you have the right to request the deletion of your account within the App or by contacting [email protected]. When submitting the request, it is required to provide your name, date of birth, registered phone number, and email address.

 

  1. MODIFICATION

We may change our Privacy Policy in accordance with our legal obligations. We recommend that you check this page regularly for any changes or updates to this document.
